This rally will be a journey of 5,000 kilometers, with more than 2,700 km of special stages across the three host countries, with a perfect balance between technical challenges and the beauty of nature. From the East Siberian taiga to the endless Mongolian steppes and magnificent dunes of the Gobi desert, Silk Way Rally 2019 will be remembered not only as the most difficult rally raid of the year, but also as a unique adventure.

On May 30, 37 days prior to the start of the Rally, the official operator of the Silk Way Rally 2019 TMS LLC held a Moscow press conference, where the rally route was finally revealed. This year one of the greatest racing challenges to test the reliability of racing vehicles and boundless human potential will go along a brand new route.

Alongside with the Silk Way Rally organizers, representatives of rally partners and motorsport federations of Russia, Mongolia and China answered the journalists’ questions.

Vladimir Chagin, Rally Director:
‘First of all, we create a route that would be interesting and diverse for participants, so that the car manufacturers can see their vehicles to drive in different environmental conditions, in different terrains and on varied surfaces of our planet. Of course, we are eager to add new regions and countries to our route so that their people can watch the racers and other participants in person. Taking into account these and many other factors, as well as the initiative of our colleagues from Mongolia, and personally, the President Khaltmaagiin Battulga, we have chosen exactly the route that we presented to you today. Visiting the lake Baikal is the dream of many. Beautiful sceneries, amazing nature. Such route, very challenging, very diverse but not too long as well, I’m sure, will be enjoyed by the competitors and all our guests, who will join us this year.’
